About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as its senior financial executive, providing strategic leadership in financial planning, budgeting, investment management, and fiscal policy. This role involves advising the Mayor, City Council, and department heads, and driving efficiencies across interdepartmental financial functions. The CFO will also be involved in public engagements, representing the organization in a political environment, and fostering a high-performance culture. Applicants for the CFO position at the company must be U.S. citizens or resident aliens with a legal right to work in the United States. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a Master's degree highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years' experience in municipal finance or governmental accounting, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Extensive knowledge of municipal finance, accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting standards is essential, as is a CPA, CGFO, or other relevant certification. The CFO should possess strong strategic leadership, financial expertise, analytical thinking, team management, public communication, problem-solving, and intergovernmental collaboration skills.
