In this role, the Controller will be responsible for leading daily accounting operations, month-end close, team development, and leading projects within accounting. To be successful in this role, the Controller should be an established people manager, be able to work in a dynamic environment, and have great follow-through ability. If so, then please have them read the full Controller job description to see if this role could be a match!What do you need for this Controller role?Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field20+ years of accounting experienceMust have inventory accounting experienceMust have public accounting experience and/or be a CPAAdvanced ExcelStrong supervisory experience What will you do in this Controller role?Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including inventory costing, standard costing, and reconciliation.Oversee distribution and logistics-related accounting processes to ensure alignment with inventory and cost of goods sold.Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.Act as lead on cross-functional projects, driving initiatives related to process improvement, ERP upgrades, and supply chain optimization.Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and executive leadership to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making.Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.Prepare and present financial reports and variance analysis for senior leadership.Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.What is in this Controller role for you?Opportunity to continue to build out and mentor a team Opportunity to work for an established company in a stable industryWill have the ability to drive organizational changeVery dynamic work environment that has supportive PE investorsSo, if you are an experienced Director of Accounting or Controller who is ready to make your impact and have strong job security then this role is for you!
