Position: CustodianDepartment: Facilities/MaintenanceReports to: Plant ManagerJob Summary:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the manufacturing facility, including production areas, offices, restrooms, and common spaces. This role supports the overall plant cleanliness and operational readiness of the plant and includes daily responsibilities such as making coffee for the team and reporting any safety or maintenance concerns.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms and office spaces

· Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in production and non-production areas

· Remove trash and recycling from all areas and dispose of them properly

· Clean windows, walls, machinery exteriors, and other surfaces as directed

· Replenish janitorial supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper

· Operate floor scrubbers and other industrial cleaning equipment.

· Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

· Report any unsafe conditions, spills, or maintenance needs to the supervisor or Safety Manager

· Assist with special cleaning projects or facility prep for inspections

· Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas such as loading docks and employee entrances

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous custodial or industrial cleaning experience a plus
• Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
