Job Description

This role is based in San Francisco and requires you to be in the office 3 days a week.

  • Contribute to establishing and developing a high performing Events Delivery Team, leading multiple event delivery teams across various Market pillars.
  • Lead the team through change, building a customer-first operation that provides efficient and effective value-added services to the Pillars, Finance, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee event service delivery and reporting: ensuring high-quality, cost-effective event operations and transparent, timely, and accurate reporting.
  • Promote a culture of best practices and continuous improvement in skills, tools, systems, and event management disciplines.
  • Establish and implement operating level agreements for shared services with Pillars and other Informa Operations teams.
  • Manage and negotiate with third-party suppliers for seamless event delivery, including SLA setup and project management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of non-financial KPIs and OKRs, and implement OKRs within the Event Delivery team.
  • Provide systems best practices and training for all Event teams, including configuring virtual event platforms.
  • Establish health and safety frameworks for event setup and compliance with standards.
  • Manage monthly expense forecasts with the Finance team.
  • Implement and promote sustainable solutions in event delivery, tracking and reporting sustainability metrics.
  • This position focuses on the Game Developer's Conference within Tech Events at Informa Festivals, with scheduled assignments based on business needs.

  • Experience managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
  • Experience establishing shared service operations.
  • Project management expertise with prioritization and time management skills.
  • Leadership experience managing operational teams.
  • Change leadership skills in dynamic environments.
