Becomea Certified Nursing Assistant in 3 weeks! ManhattanNursing Rehabilitation Center is hosting a free CNAtrainingclass! Musthave open availability to work any shift, including weekends andholidays. Aftercompletion of the 4-week class, you will be assigned to a rotating 4 on 2 off schedule.
Yourd ailyattendance is mandatory asa requirement of class completion . StandardRequirements 1.Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of the Facility.
2. Isknowledgeable of resident rights and supports an atmosphere whichallows for
the privacy, dignity and well-being of all residentsin a safe, secure environment.
3. Supports, cooperates with, andimplements specific procedures and programs for:
OSHA andsafety, including universal precautions and safe workpractices,
established fire/safety/disaster plans, riskmanagement, and security, report and/or
correct unsafe workingconditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs.
4. Adheresto:
a. Confidentiality of all data, including resident,employee and operations
data.
b. HIPAA regulations
c.Quality Assurance requirements and compliance withregulatory
requirements.
d. Compliance with current lawand policy to provide a work environment
free from sexualharassment and illegal and discriminatory behavior.
e. Code ofConduct and Compliance Program when performing work
functions
5.Supports and participates in common teamwork:
a. Cooperates andworks together with all co-workers; plans and completes
jobduties with minimal supervisory direction, includingappropriate
judgment.
b. Uses tactful, appropriatecommunications in sensitive and emotional
situations.
c.Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers orresidents
regarding reported complaints, problems andconcerns.
d. Promotes positive public relations with residents,family members and
guests.
e. Completes requirements forin-service training, acceptable attendance,
uniform and dresscodes including personal hygiene, and other work
duties asassigned.
f. Participates as assigned in the orientation of newstaff and demonstrates a
positive, helpful, and enthusiasticattitude.
6. Immediately reports incidents of alleged residentabuse or neglect or alleged
violations of residents' rights toDirector of Nursing or Executive Director.
7. Knowledgeable ofage specific developmental factors specific to adult and
geriatricresidents (i.e. physical, cognitive and socialization factors) inplanning
delivery of care.
8. Maintains current practicestandards or changes by participating in educational
opportunitiesprovided by the Facility and outside resources.

Qualifications Education/Training:A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, and walk and stand for most of the working day.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and transfer and transport
residents. - Must be able to carry and transport supplies.
