Job Description

Job Summary:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be an integral part of our team, providing patient care that is tailored to each individual's needs, age, diagnosis, and physician orders. You will contribute to creating a supportive, patient-centered environment for all individuals in your care. This position is eligible for Tobacco Treatment Specialist training within the first 12-18 months of employment.

Actively participate in mandatory training and departmental meetings (at least 80% attendance).
Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, supporting compliance program activities.

Essential Functions:
Collect and document the chief complaint from patients and their families, reviewing previous medical records when necessary.
Schedule necessary lab work, tests, procedures, or surgeries, ensuring appointments are completed as per standards.
Complete and process lab and radiology requests, obtaining any necessary patient waivers.
Perform and train for CLIA-waived lab tests, in accordance with certification and licensing standards.
Recognize and address any significant changes in patients' conditions, including high-risk situations.
Triage urgent patient calls and communicate with providers to ensure timely care.
Prepare patients for exams and assist with procedures, ensuring comfort and efficiency.
Administer prescribed medications and manage accurate documentation in the EHR system.
Take calls, route messages, and relay provider instructions in a timely, accurate manner.
Provide relevant education to patients and families, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
Schedule referral appointments and ensure all necessary follow-up actions are completed.
Adapt your schedule to meet fluctuating patient care needs.
Help maintain a smooth workflow by preparing instruments, checking for supply shortages, and assisting with phlebotomy, scanning, or performing EKGs as needed.
Ensure timely restocking of supplies and check medications for expiration.

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA):
Required: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA).
Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant in North Dakota or registered with the North Dakota Board of Nursing within four months of employment.

Clinical Office Nurse (LPN):
Required: Current valid LPN license in North Dakota.
Preferred: 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires standing for extended periods, effective communication with patients, and occasional lifting of items (up to 20 lbs).

Salary: $ 19.00 25.00 Per Hour
