Job Description
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Restoration / Mitigation Technicians to join our team. This hands-on role is responsible for responding to residential and commercial properties affected by water, mold, fire, and smoke damage. The ideal candidate will have experience with structural drying, mold remediation, fire/smoke cleanup, and demolition, as well as basic skills in rebuild, drywall, and general labor. IICRC certification and skilled trades experience are strong pluses.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to emergency mitigation calls and perform onsite inspections to assess damage from water, fire, mold, or smoke
Set up, monitor, and adjust equipment such as air movers, dehumidifiers, and HEPA air scrubbers for water extraction and drying
Perform demolition work, including removal of drywall, flooring, insulation, and affected materials
Assist with mold remediation procedures, including containment, removal, and cleaning of contaminated areas
Clean and restore fire- and smoke-damaged properties using industry-approved techniques and equipment
Maintain accurate documentation, including moisture readings, job progress notes, and photos
Follow safety procedures and proper PPE usage to ensure a safe work environment
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and occasionally property owners or insurance adjusters
Assist in minor rebuild activities such as drywall repair, framing, insulation, and light carpentry (experience preferred)
Maintain company equipment and vehicles in clean, operational condition
Be available for rotating on-call shifts for after-hours or weekend emergencies
Qualifications:
1–2 years of restoration, construction, or mitigation experience preferred
IICRC certification (WRT, ASD, AMRT) is a plus
Skilled labor experience in drywall, carpentry, or general repairs is a plus
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, attics, or crawl spaces
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Working Conditions:
This position involves physical labor in indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in uncomfortable conditions in commercial or residential (wet, moldy, fire-damaged) environments. Technicians may be required to work extended hours during peak demand or emergencies.
