Job Title: Workday Security Administrator
Location: Atlanta, GA(Hybrid) (Local candidates only)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Implement security configurations including user profiles, roles, domain/business process security, integration, and Reports security across all areas of Workday (HCM and Financials).
- Maintain an up-to-date security matrix and ensure compliance with data privacy standards and State policies.
- Serve as the Lead Security Administrator for Workday, responsible for configuration, maintenance, integration, and optimization.
- Stay current on the Workday roadmap and upcoming product releases by reviewing release notes, assessing new features, and understanding the impact on business processes and Workday security functionality.
- Troubleshoot and assist users with security-related issues and access problems while guiding security best practices.
- Implement and manage role-based access controls (RBAC) to ensure appropriate user access levels across business functions.
- Manage and configure domain and business process security policies and related workflows.
- Document security incidents, resolutions, and lessons learned to improve the future response strategy.
- Review and update security roles as per evolving business requirements and regulatory updates.
- Assist in configuring secure authentication policies including Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) .
- Coordinate Workday quarterly updates , including validation, workflow/process review, documentation, audits, and continuous improvements.
- Prepare and deliver written reports and presentations to senior executives, clearly communicating security statuses, updates, and strategy.
Skills and Competencies: - Strong expertise in managing Business Process and Domain Security Policies .
- Advanced proficiency in configuring and managing Workday Custom Security Groups (Role-Based, User-Based).
- Deep knowledge of Workday User Provisioning and De-Provisioning processes.
- Strong proficiency in Workday HCM and Security modules , with proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving access/security issues.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership.
- Working knowledge of SSO/MFA for secure application authentication.
- Experience with Tenant and Release Management in Workday.
- Ability to migrate configurations, security, and reports between environments using Workday Object Transporter (OX 2.0) .
- Understanding of data privacy standards and government compliance requirements .
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in information technology, with at least four (4) years in Workday Security .
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge and competencies may be considered.
