Job Description

Hiring Immediately! Service Manager Experience Required: Four years heavy-duty vehicle experience and one year of maintenance supervision or a minimum of 2 years in a Foreman position. Pay: $60,000 to $75,000 Depending on experience Shift: Monday to Friday, 6am to 4pm Accelerate your Career! Join the Swift Team, backed by experienced diesel technicians, leaders, and trainers. We operate one of the largest fleets with over 13,000 trucks, 60,000 trailers, 12,000 drivers, and 700 technicians. We offer OEM training with manufacturers like Freightliner, International, Volvo, Cummins, and Detroit, along with growth and career advancement opportunities. Job Responsibilities: Maximize maintenance workforce efficiency and ensure cost-effective utilization of the maintenance facility. Supervise shop staff and ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures. Manage parts and fuel inventories, and process payments for parts and repairs. Handle warranty claims and returns. Communicate truck availability and oversee repair decisions. Train employees using Swift training programs, including safety and certification programs. Lead accident estimates and bids for outsourced equipment. Maintain shop and yard safety and compliance with regulations. Hire and interview prospective maintenance employees. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations. Negotiate with vendors for supplies and services. Oversee OEM and Swift recalls, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections. Manage customer site trailer maintenance, improve uptime, and reduce outsourcing. Conduct onsite inspections and evaluate maintenance programs. Collaborate with departments to improve maintenance performance. Participate in cost reduction programs and review SOPs.
